Knopman Vs STC for series 63
Hi all,
I'm taking the series 63 in a couple weeks and I was wondering which which prep I should use: Knopman or STC (or do both suck)? Also, which package should I buy? Should I even bother with lectures or should I stick with the self study guide (Flashcards, manual, and Final Exams only).

Used STC practice exams to study for 63 and had no problem. Don't bother with books or anything else.

Did anyone actually read the Knopman textbook for the Series 63 exam?
I got the "supplement" materials (Factsheet, etc). Is this enough to pass the exam?

Never read it but the Series 63 is extremely easy. Take a few practice test and you will be fine

I recently bombed the Series 6, missing 11 questions from passing. I'm now in a position where I must pass the Series 63 to maintain employment with the investment firm I'm at. The firm has supplied STC for study for both exams, but I found the book for 6 too stuffed and the practice tests not wholly representative of what I actually encountered on the exam. Has anyone found the STC 63 prep book effective in preparing them for the exam? Is the exam extremely difficult? How much of it overlaps with the Series 6?
I took the 7 and 63, so can't directly comment on the overlap with the 6. But, I did not find the 63 to be difficult at all. Most of my studying was STC practice questions in the week leading up to it. Unless it has changed much in the past 5 years, I would quickly read the book, then hit the practice exams and you'll be fine.
