Blackstone First Round Interview (BAAM and BREDS) - Advise

Hey guys,

I have two first round phone interviews with Blackstone this week (SA positions) and am hoping to get some insight. One is for their Alternative Asset Management Group (BAAM - hedge fund solutions) and the other is for Real Estate Debt Strategies (BREDS). Has anyone interviewed with either of these groups before and can shed some light? Any advice in terms of preparation or types of questions to expect? I'm assuming they will be mostly fit but I've heard they sometimes throw in technicals depending on the group. Have obviously prepped and done my research but any further input would be much appreciated.

Will follow up after to share my experience.

Thanks!

I have my BAAM phone interview coming up. Can you share your experience? Types of questions? Length? Any insight would be appreciated.

Bit of an old thread but I have an interview coming up for BAAM as well. I'm kind of stressing a bit just due to time constraints. I received an offer from a small buy side firm (very old firm) and while the compensation isn't extraordinary, the exposure is a big selling point. Supposed to receive the written offer tomorrow or Friday. May inform Blackstone that I have other offers to see if the process can be expedited.
