Wells Fargo WBR Analyst Program
Hey guys,
I have an interview coming up with Wells Fargo for the WBR (Wealth, Brokerage, and Retirement) Analyst Program. Has anybody had experience with this group? Any insights to their interview/recruiting process? Thanks for all your help.

This program is asset management. Notable groups would include: "Abbott Downing" - the ultra-high-net-worth private bank, and "Wells Fargo Private Bank" - the high-net-worth private bank. Respectively, these business compete directly with JPM UHNW (Private Bank) and JPM HNW (Private Wealth Management). I would stay away form Wells Fargo Advisors, your exit opportunities would be quite limited in such a role.
Look at the staff roles: "Opportunities vary and could include roles in Finance, Marketing, Communication, Cross-Sell, Strategy and Human Resources"
It's a support role for those areas of the business. Do your research next time.

OP, you can PM if you have questions. But it is almost all behavioral so you should be fine.
Just my two cents, but just want to second AllDay's comments. I spent a summer there as an intern. Granted, there's more than just CF, but at it's core, they are support roles.
What would happen to the analyst after the program? Do they stay with the same position or move to the next opportunity? How about salary increment?
And I would like to contest AllDay's statement as well as idonotmatch's statement. Wells Fargo does have asset management positions. I interned with them in the past and my roles was exactly that. It had very little to do with corporate finance.
How was your interview with Wells' WBR Analyst Program? I will be attending an interview next week and would be interested in your sharing your experience.

I just received an email today about the round 1 phone interview for the WBR program. Hope that helps!

I applied for the fulltime WBR program on Jan. 8th and still haven't received interview request nor have I received a decline notification. Is it possible they're still going through interviews?
I received an email today, as well. Andrea: I don't have any knowledge about the FT, but I would assume that there is still time for you to receive some info pertaining to it.
Thanks Ben! Do you have any insight on whether recent grads are preferred for these types of programs? I graduated in 2011 with Psyc degree and jumped into Finance almost two years ago. It's been tough trying to even get my foot in the door for Financial Analyst roles.. Any advice?

My apologies. It stands for the "Wealth, Brokerage, Retirement" program.
Does anyone know if this program considers 2011 graduates? My degree is in Psyc. I'm just getting into the field of finance and have about a year of entry level experience. Also, what is the base salary for the WBR program?

I've done some research on the company/previous interviews, however there is no info on their final round.
