Can pretty much confirm all these numbers. Summer will be pro-rated on base of:
Bulges:
GS: 85k + 1.5k stipend
JPM: 85k + 2.5k stipend
MS: 85k + 0.5x overtime + 2k stipend
CS: 85k + 0.5x overtime +2k stipend
UBS: 85k + 0.5x overtime + 2k stipend
Citi: 85k + 0.5x overtime + 2k stipend
BAML: 85k + 1.5x overtime + 2k stipend (see comments about OT)
DB: 85k + 0.5x overtime
BarCap: 85k + 2.5k stipend
Wells: 19/hour + 1.5x overtime +2k stipend
Boutiques:
Lazard: 85k + 2k stipend (updated)
Evercore: 95k + 2.5k stipend
Moelis: 85k + 2k (updated)
Qatalyst: 95k + 7.5k stipend
BX Advisory: 70k (probably up in the air because of spin-off)
Guggenheim: 85k
Jefferies: 85k
Nomura: 85k + overtime + 3k stipend
Lincoln: 85k
RW Baird: 85k
HL: 85k
Stifel: 80k
William Blair: 85k
Union Square Advisors: 85k + 3k
RBC: 85k
SocGen: 85k + 1.5x overtime
Please add datapoints if you can! Some information about stipends/OT is probably being omitted because of a lack of information but fairly confident about base numbers
All these are for NYC office besides Qatalyst and Union Square Advisors.
BAML is 85K + overtime according to my friend. Super jealous my BB isn't about the overtime life :(
any news on Jefferies, wells, or Moelis?
updated. not full details but the base at least
what do the average bonuses look like for each?
for the summer 2-2.5k is standard from what I've heard
I was saying for the 1st year analyst, what does a typical bonus look like for IBD?
BarCap 85k Guggenheim 85k
How are the stipends looking?
~2-2.5k
overtime for nyc? I thought that was only for california
nope, some of the bulges do OT in the summer, usually at 0.5x hourly after 40hrs. Think WF does it differently though, they usually get paid the most
Barclays 85k + 2.5k stipend
Do banks give you a stipend even if you live in NY?
yeah they do
go wild with it
How much does this usually equate to for the summer?
How much does this usually equate to for the summer?
85k without OT: ~16k pre-tax 85k with OT (assuming 80 hour work week): ~24k pre-tax
BAML has lower hourly pay than some of the others to compensate for the overtime. They don't truly prorate 85k to 40 hour work weeks, but all in it should be a little more than the 85k prorate, but not as much as true overtime
CS prorates 85k based on a 40 hour work week. All hours over 40 get overtime at essentially $20 an hour. 2k stipend and transportation from school covered.
Jefferies is 85k pro-rated.
BX Advisory is still at 70k
PJT Partners
Nomura 85k prorated + 3k stipend + overtime
Houlihan 85k prorated, no stipend Guggenheim 85k prorated, + 2.5k stipend Wells 19 hourly + overtime, not sure about stipend
for wells, there is a 2k stipend-deductibles
any news on why wells is so much lower than the others?
At $19/hr, 1.5X for overtime, you're looking at $1900/wk if you do 80 hours. On an annualized basis that's ~$98K which is more than most are paying AFAIK.
DB is 70k, thats for london tho (converted from gbp). Could US be higher? any word on this?
Qatalyst gives 7.5k for stipend?! thats crazy...
I'm not sure if it the situation I know of is unique but yeah
Qatalyst gives 7.5k stipend?! thats crazy...
Qatalyst gives 7.5k stipend?! thats crazy...
do summer associates get overtime too?
Wells gets 2k stipend
Do these numbers apply across all front office divisions?
not sure, only know about IBD
for WF, S&T and IB is same (at least in NY and Charlotte both)
can confirm NYC BB does indeed give housing stipend of 2k.
just curious, how do you calculate from pro rated to hourly, and from hourly to pro rated (example would help). Thanks.
Here's what my contract implied:
Annualized $85,000 is based on 70hrs/wk. Hourly wage is $19.2, with OT pay of 1.5x wage after 40 hrs/wk. So, [(4019.2) + [(70-40)(19.2*1.5)]] * 52 weeks = about $85k annualized base.
To calculate from prorated to hourly, it would be the opposite. If the assumption is a 70 hr work week with annualized base of $85,000, you would likely be making around (10/52) * 85k = $16.4k for your 10 weeks.
85,000/52 to get like 1600~ a week. They then adjusted that to a 40 hour work week which is like 40 dollars an hour. Overtime is .5 fulltime, so for every hour over 40 hours a week you get 20 dollars an hour

Any word on Perella and Greenhill?
DB is 85k + 0.5x overtime. No stipend (NYC)
DB is 85k + 0.5x overtime. No stipend (NYC)
Any word on Oppenheimer?
An incoming intern at OPCO here. Did you intern with the firm? If so, how was the pay like? I'm concerned about the pay, so an answer would be appreciated
Anyone know if GS is dishing out a stipend? I remember seeing a number on my offer letter...but I seemed to have misplaced it.
GS used to be prorated 70K and 1.5K housing stipend. My guess would be 85K and 1.5K stipend this year; can't confirm though.
Just found out that Stifel is 80K prorated.
Obv my firm Jefferies i better ;)
Stipend is $1.5k for GS
nvm
UBS has 0.5x overtime as well
HL and William Blair are at 85k prorated
If you're signed on at one of these banks for the summer but your offer letter was for less than what most people are supposedly getting, do you just let it go or do you say something? 10 weeks of lower comp isn't a big deal, but if it impacted potential FT pay it would definitely matter.
I heard Piper Jaffray was 90k + 2.5x overtime
someone got trolled
Jefferies, according to my friend, reimburses their interns for all travel expenses. If someone could confirm.
Can confirm Morgan Stanley at 85k + 0.5x OT + 2k stipend.
I've heard Centerview is 100k pro-rated and a 10k signing bonus.
It's 85K / 3K for summer.
Have an offer at BAML. Contract states hours will be $23.35 and overtime will be $35.05. They say these are based on the current analyst salary of $85,000 per year. This is in addition to a 2k stipend.
seems accurate. updated
So do all California offices have to pay interns overtime?
Does anybody have numbers for BBs in London please?
Does anybody have numbers for BBs in London please?
Since when is Evercore - $95,000?
since this year
Source? One of my good friends is starting there in July and he told me otherwise. There's the possibility they upped it since I last spoke with him about sometime in January.
MS Stipend is 2.5K
How does one even land one of these summer analysts spots?
UBS pays SAs 0.5x overtime as well
RBC: 85k
Moelis 85k + 2k stipend + Transport from home and to school
Union Square Advisors is $85k prorata + $3k stipend. Heard its 3 summers in SF.
Please update Lazard: 85k + 2k stipend
Societe Generale is 85k + 1.5x overtime. 85k pro rata over 40 hours per week but there's no housing stipend.
UBS is still deciding on OT policy for SA this year. Not sure about previous year though
