Hey All,
Just wanted to give some encouragement to non targets who think they have no shot this cycle. I was always told that Investment Banks did not even look at their online portals, and that i shouldn't apply if i didn't know anybody and attended a non-target. Well if i had listened to those people i would not have accepted an IBD SA offer for next summer (William Blair/Piper Jaffray/Jefferies). I just want you guys to know that I did 0 networking. I just sent in my resume. Got a phone screen, another phone screen. then they flew me out to their HQ for a superday and I received the offer the same day. I promise you it's not easy, just know that it's possible. Good luck to non targets and good luck to targets all the same. Kick ass guys and try your best.

Congrats, what was your gpa like and did you have any previous internship experience in finance?
I did an internship with (blackrock/vanguard/pimco) and then a MM PE internship. 3.83 GPA finance major computer science minor.
Hey all so I’m actually not an international student unfortunatley. I came from a different country as a kid but I’m a citizen now.
International here and ended up getting an offer from a pretty solid EB (Laz/MoCo/EVR/PJT/CVP). It's not impossible and I'm also not from a target (more like semi-target)
Also non-diversity
