thanks do you think the material is just boring regardless of prep company? Would you recommend only the textbooks or do live classes have any value?

It is just how they present it to you. The have video lectures and they read it to you like you are a baby and super slow. But you can speed up the video to 1.5 to make it better.

But looking back on it, it might have helped to understand the concepts. In regards to just getting the book, it depends what type of learner you are. I liked having the question database and I learn well taking example tests.

For what it's worth, we tried pretty hard to make our SIE material less boring (here's an example https://app.achievable.me/study/finra-sie/learn/options-options-contrac…</a">https://app.achievable.me/study/finra-sie/learn/options-options-contrac… ) but truth is, the SIE has a lot of pretty straightforward and dry stuff in it. What's most important is that you like the program/author and you use it.

Hey monkey. I used Kaplan’s most basic package and it prepared me very well. Read the book and took most of the qbank questions. Passed the first time, it’s not bad at all.

I used Kaplan basic package and it was super easy. Passed first attempt. Also used Kaplan for S7TO and S66 and passed first try as well.

@vinmister541" I may be too late here, but to throw our hat into the ring, a lot of people love https://app.achievable.me/study/finra-sie/overview?utm_source=wso</a">Achievable's FINRA SIE course.
