Amherst College vs LSE

I would be an international student at both, so which of the two offers a better pipeline to high finance and a solid career? Are there any important sponsorship considerations? I could also go to SSE instead (not considered international here). Of course, working in NYC is a dream but what's the right choice here?

Which is the better choice?

Amherst no dif. Amherst recruits just as well as most Ivy's and ofc you want to be in the US. Take a hint from the prince of Monaco and go Amherst.

Without location in mind, LSE blows almost any US school out of the water, ie placing like Wharton in Europe as the top feeder. LSE places terribly in the US because that’s a) not the ambition of those at LSE and b) there is therefore no alumni network. The only reason Amherst could even be considered here (for finance LSE is HYPW equivalent) is NYC, in which case it’s the better option, despite being a weaker semi target.

Even in the UK LSE is not seen on the same level as HYP. Maybe LSE students think that, but only Oxbridge is on the same level as HYP, where Cambridge is generally on the same level as YP and Oxford is on the same level as H to your average blokes.
