Do banks recruit at UCSD? It's a solid school for sciences (esp. biomedical engineering), but I haven't heard anything re placement into banking.
Not at all. I've only heard of 3-5 or so kids getting into banking from UCSD from each graduating class.
thats a bummer. Im most likely transferring to UCSD as an econ major this upcoming fall but it seems like the opportunities are almost nonexistent there from what I've heard.
I can't comment on bankers/IBD specifically, but if you have an interest in AM use LinkedIn and look up alums at PIMCO. There are a good amount of UCSD ppl there
3-5 ea year? that's more than i thought.. from what i hear there are close to zero IBD ops from there
