Second what TwoThrones said. Recruiting (FT or SA) is a numbers game unfortunately and even being on top of your game, you can still come up short. I would say keep pushing in looking for opportunities, as spots do come up in IB, but it is not the end of the world if you do land something in IB before graduation. If you land a good Corp. Finance role or something similar, you can continue the pursuit of breaking in.

Speaking from experience of breaking back into IB five months after graduation

Are you serious?! I was told about 3 weeks ago that they had filled their final spot. The only situation in which spots would open up is if someone reneged or didn't sign an offer which is hard to believe given that it's GS and that most other places that a GS kid might lateral to like MS and the EBs have been full for a long while.

Assuming you are at a good school with an active career center, reach out to the specific people within the career center that are closely tied with the IBD recruiting. You most likely will not get a BB or elite boutique interview through superdays but some good banks will be looking for people in a couple months if they believe the numbers are off for the incoming class. You want to be first on that list if banks happen to reach out to your school.
