Got an email about doing an online assessment today. Also, I am a freshman who hasn't done one of these yet. How are these formatted, and what questions are typically asked?
Online assessment for me was a personality test and a few cognitive ability ones. Takes about 15-20 mins
What kinds of cognitive ability questions?

Mine says screen tests in progress even though I did the assessments. Not sure why
When did you submit your application? If you just did it then it may not have shifted over yet
It says we can only apply to 1 location but there are multiple apps (coverage/M&A, transaction banking, etc). Can we still only apply to 1 total or just like 1 location per type of application?
the application format said to check a box confirming it's your first and only application so i assume if you apply to the nyc one, you can only pick one group
do we know when to hear back? how competitive is the sf office discovery program? hopeful about next steps since 100 people clicked the apply on linkedin lol compared to the bloodshed some other programs are

I have a call in about an hour with a second-year analyst. Says it's only 15 minutes. Has anyone else had a call already, if so, how was it?
Which group did you apply to?
Coverage/M&A. The person calling me is in their Tech coverage group.
when did you apply/get notified of the call?
I applied mid-December and got notified on Thursday.
Did they ask any technicals?
Nah, just basic behaviorals. Why finance, IB, and Barclays, as well as tell me about yourself. We ended up having a pretty good conversation. It's pretty light.
