BNP Leveraged Finance pay vs peers for mid-career professionals

I realize that by in large the rep of BNP is that they underpay in comparison to their peers, but does this also to apply to individuals at the VP level? I am particularly interested in how this plays out in the corporate debt origination group. Any insights would be appreciated.

Here is my conundrum, I am currently at a mid tier regional bank doing leveraged finance and my bonuses are already a joke (sub 50% of base). Is it so bad at BNP that I should still avoid and try to go to a better regional, or would this actually be an improvement and I would just have to live with making significantly less than people at other BB’s?

BNP pays street base($85k), however, the bonus will depend on the group, analyst ranking, . I received an offer for S&T and networked with some of the IB guys
