BofA off-cycle 2026 - London

Hello guys. I’ve been following up on my application at BofA for the off cycle internships in London. They’re made very sector specific from the beginning. I did my hirevue after sending my application and 2 days later a recruiter reached out to me asking if I had a foundation year? She asked about my graduation dates and current internship end date but ultimately said my video interview is still under review.

Pretty odd. I’ve never been asked about foundation years before so I’m curious why they would raise this issue. Any guesses?

Has anyone been following?

Based on the most helpful WSO content, it's not uncommon for recruiters to ask about foundation years, graduation dates, or internship end dates during the application process, especially for off-cycle internships. These questions are likely aimed at clarifying your eligibility and availability for the program. Off-cycle internships often have specific timelines and requirements, so recruiters need to ensure that your academic and professional schedule aligns with their needs.

The mention of foundation years might be related to understanding your academic background and whether it fits their criteria. Some banks may have specific policies or preferences regarding candidates with foundation years, as it could impact the perceived timeline of your education.

If your video interview is still under review, it’s a good sign that you’re still in the running. Keep following up politely with the recruiter if you don’t hear back within a reasonable timeframe. Good luck!

Hey man, I had a similar experience (same role) but instead they asked for my A-levels or A levels equivalent... Did you get any updates yet?

Received R1 a few days ago for a specific team for the off cycle so the process is moving

I believe the hv is automatic, when did you apply? I reckon you're referring to the SSA team in DCM? Cap markets were the latest applications to be published so they may trail behind a bit

I think most teams have their first rounds out already

Highly unlikely that you completed your HV 14 days after submission, given that the timeframe for completing the interview is 5 days.

But that's an aside - the SSA role went extremely viral in the spaces it was meant to target: African candidates. The Africa arm of SEO did a weird push on all their socials, so I can guarantee that the role was a flood of applicants. They might be subpar and the HVs might be worse, but given that it's a small team - and the bankers look at every video essay submission - it might take a while.

Initially I thought hv was automatic, but I got it a week after my submission. Ah I see, I must have missed that, thx for the context.

Hopefully they'll get back to us soon, but if other teams are already giving out interviews, I must be dinged lol.

What team did you apply for?

Anyone got a reply post HV for the Global Industrials Group (GIG) OC?

Applied on 01/09 and completed HV 05/09, heard nothing back yet.

Someone higher in the feed got Round 1 last week for UKI, so presumably it is team-by-team.

I did the TI, they ask a mix of competency questions and one scenario-based technical along with 15 rapid fire math questions at the end.

I applied for the 2026 off-cycle IB internship (Natural Resources and Energy Transition Group), only received an email saying my application was under review

did you hear back after the hireview?

have you received AC invite yet (not interviewing for consumer but curious as I did the TI for another team)

Are you also consumer division as well or IB? I'd like to get an idea of the interval between TI's for the role you applied for and AC...

had consumer first round last week, anyone know any updates?

Applied for Consumer OC, haven't done R1 yet, only email saying my application was under review. Applied when they opened. How long do I have to wait for a R1 interview?

when did you apply- didn't even see that HC opened up for off cycles in sept

One of my friends got his interview invite for DCM team for this Friday. I still haven't heard back for them. Funny thing is, in his hirevue he recorded 5 seconds of a blank screen and submit it like that, yet he still got an interview invite so i guess they dont actually even review hirevues lmao

Also for those of you who have done TIs/First Rounds for other teams, were they sent out all on the same day or in batches?

Pretty sure it's just 1. Do you know how long to hear back after the AC?

In the same boat - AC was last week but radio silence since

Hi. For your technical interview, was a case study provided on the call?

Please update if you have hear anything/find out! Or if you know someone who’s heard back etc

Haven’t heard a word since the AC last thurs so not sure if they’ve made decisions already or are still in the progress of doing it

Did the AC for GCM SA last week and also haven't heard back, but I read on previous posts that they usually get back to you within a few workings days of the AC and if not then you're most likely waitlisted...

Mine was on Thursday and no news either. Fingers crossed theyre still giving out offers and it’s not done yet
