Are you sure? Base going from 90 -> 100 sure seems like how the us bases have been moving.Bonuses are also like 250% base for top bucket. Would like to get more confirmation.
Not surprised, they're pretty entrenched in MM/LMM and markets like last year help. Have a huge wealth management business they can shovel deals into that institutional only players won't touch AND play on the institutional side as well. Up here they machine gun bought deal letters like Tiger throws around termsheets.
not to mention they've done some massive deals down in Australia over the last few years
I saw a director post some league tables on linkedin last week showing them as one of the top underwriters globally for YTD-22...I'm sure the numbers are heavily massaged (like any other league table shown by a broker) but still, it's crazy to see them doing volume to match US BBs
Pretty sure this is either fake or no one gets top bucket. I know someone there that said these were absurdly off.
I also work at a MM currently and we have multiple CG laterals, all of whom specifically mentioned pay to me as why they lateraled. So unless things massively changed in the last few years AND my friend there now is just getting below bottom bucket, I’m calling BS
Canadian banks and insurers can resume dividend increases and share buybacks and raise executive compensation. “We created Link to simplify non-salary compensation for companies that are looking to attract, reward and retain top talent” .

Can certainly confirm Associate 1 and VP numbers (numbers at high end of range in Litquidity post) are accurate and presented in USD. Based off that fact pattern, the analyst figures are most likely true. Canaccord was paying at the top of the street last year too so not really a surprise.
Do you work there? I've heard WLB is solid too at CG as well. Is that true too? Are these comp figures actually this legit? Is it the move to work there?

And I thought Baird and Macquarie comp numbers this year were high. This is another level.
Are MMs the new EBs?
Can confirm
Do you work at CG?
I don't believe it
Zero percent chance this is real. Why would any singular person know what AN1 through VP3 makes?
It was leaked from internally bruh
Litquidity just posted that the numbers are confirmed and in USD. CG paying some associates 700k is crazy. I guess that's one way to retain talent lol
Those are in Canadian dollars... 1.3x exchange rate

Pretty sure AN1 base at CG is $100k in USD, not Canadian.
I've never even heard of them... why are their bonuses 2x normal?
Really? From what I've heard, CG had a very busy year in the MM/LMM.
Boutta apply lol

Bottom bucket at Cannacord for AN3 and beyond is basically top of street
Looking at the wso salary database, they’ve historical been pretty average comp. All of a sudden their bonuses are double street?
can we get this converted to non fake canadian currency?
This is in USD, it was confirmed.

Thinking this is comp for this year. Guessing there was a huge boom in MM/LMM in the spaces they operate?
Even if isolated. This is beyond top of street
No way
My buddy works there, can confirm this is accurate. Trying to get a referral from him lmao
Litquidity took the post down. Leads me to believe it wasn’t real
it was a IG story, not a post, so it goes away automatically after 24 hours lmao
my bro
It wasn't a post, but he did take it down before the 24 hours expired.
.
I don't think he deleted it early. Friend sent me a screenshot where it says 23 hours ago in top left corner.
Honestly I buy it if this is just for 2021 given it was a record year across the street.
Does anybody know if there is plans to raise first-year base to $110k to keep in line with other firms on the street?
