Cerberus go/no go question

Hi, I am about to start the interview process at Cerberus for a VP job in their ops group. I will have 3 associates reporting to me and was wondering the following:

  • Work hours: are the work hours still as stupid as they are at the analyst/associate level?
  • Compensation: any idea about the salary + bonus range?

Given that I am currently not working in banking/PE but in corporate finance, that I work 55h a week and make around $300k a year with job security, I am wondering whether it is worth for me to make the jump.

The job is very interesting though.. usually the grooming stage necessary to take a CFO role in their group next

Thanks for your thoughts

This doesn't really answer your question, but Cerberus is known for having a fantastic in-house ops teams. All the big megafunds have similar groups, but their ops teams are a lot smaller. Cerberus' group is almost as big as their investment team and were super active during the downturn.
