Chances of moving laterally to GS/MS NYC IBD after Summer Analyst program at another BB

What are my chances to interview and receive a FT IBD offer at Goldman Sachs or Morgan Stanley once I complete my IBD SA program at another BB?

Do they even interview for FT if you network throughout the summer?

Yeah, use OCR in the fall.

Under my tutelage, you will grow from boys to men. From men into gladiators. And from gladiators into SWANSONS.

To be honest, ITE, I would suggest first getting a return offer from the BB that you're going to summer at. If/when you have the offer in hand, then approach other BBs. Remember, this is not 2006. These days, you're lucky to have any job. Now is not the time to hold out for GS/MS.

Calling Ron Paul an isolationist is like calling your neighbor a hermit because he doesn't come over to your property and break your windows.

This is entirely possible. Had a friend who spent the summer at DB/CS/Citi, got the return offer, and jumped over to GS for full-time during the acceptance period. GS typically does a round of incremental FT recruiting at the end of the summer, but you need to be invited to participate. Network or reach out to the recruiter you spoke to during this recruiting season and express an interest in making the jump for FT.

Definitely possible. Accelerated FT interviews happen at both GS and MS in August after offers are given out, and they primarily interview candidates who summered at another BB or boutique/MM firm. Getting an offer is another story, as these days there are very very few FT spots available (most taken by summers), but it is for sure possible. Had a friend summer at Moelis and interview at MS and another from CS interview at GS. Unfortunately sometimes the top groups at MS/GS get completely filled (I think this was the case with GS this year), so opportunities are limited.
