Citi Early ID Program 2018

I think you're basically matched with an employee at Citi who works in the line of business you applied for (e.g. IB) and he becomes your mentor -- you have a few phone calls, he gives you advice about how to prep for interviews, etc. and you guys form a relationship etc. Then at the end of the program, you get to interview and hopefully get an offer -- basically a way to get diversity candidates "hooked" lol

The email says "we do have a waitlist so we ask you to confirm by the deadline" and the deadline is next Tuesday. So perhaps you can be pulled off the waitlist. Also, it might depend on the line of business you applied for --e.g. mine is for IB, so if yours is for smth else, you might get yours later

Yea, I hate that too -- like you don't know when to give up waiting and how much you should focus on other alternatives, etc. I doubt they sent out the rejections yet though, they usually take a while to send rejections and hm interesting, I didn't have a phone call for mine at all

I’m from a non target in the Midwest (no OCR-only handful of scattered alumni) doing the markets and securities service track, but I did get denied from the IB track which was my first choice

i applied to pride and the womens program and haven't heard back from either, we are supposed to hear back by the end of this week for sure

From what I have heard expect it to be dependent on your mentors impression of you - so no guaranteed interview, and I believe it’s track dependent so it’s possible to have to do a phone screen first and then super-day. Source: some people who did it before

I guess it’s like some big dial in conference call with everyone who got accepted to kick us off, and get a better understanding of the next couple weeks

I just emailed them because I'm having the same issue. They just told me that they are working on fixing the error and will provide an update soon.

Yeah my mentor is an alum; he took 3-4 days to respond, and he said he's been super busy recently, but we scheduled a call for later this week. I wouldn't worry if you've not heard back, from my experience with Citi analysts, they respond fairly slowly (some other banks respond in 2-5 mins). Maybe follow up if you haven't heard by Thu/Fri

I reached out last week, have a phone call with mine tmr morning

My mentor and I chatted on Monday and he said: "I'm going to teach you how to get this offer". So we're going over interview questions, he's listened to my pitches and "story" already, and we've gone over what I think are my weak points and set goals for what I'm going to do next week. VERY cool program so far, I'm excited to continue working with him.

He asked me a bunch of interview questions. Quite intimidating to be honest. Also assigned me some research to do

Good so far. Does anyone know how it works to get into the accelerated process? I’ve heard it’s just your mentor giving the okay to HR, but I’m not positive. Ultimately, my mentor was transparent that it seems interview / offer will based on one’s commitment and preparation, and to just keep doing what I’m doing.

I'm getting big to-do lists. My mentor and I kind of use the guidelines very loosely. I've had superdays and formal interviews for internships before, so we skipped ahead a lot. We started on "story" the first phone call.

How are you guys keeping up with the seminars? I had such a busy week and missed one of mine.

Have you heard anything about the accelerated process at all?

Got a phone interview invite this morning for S&T. The timeline could be different for IB.

Going through the process with both just gotta say I think this is a tricky one, I’ve gotten close with people at both and I’m wondering the same. Side note: an MD I talked to said JPM is moving their trading floor to a whole new building in a few years.
