Deutsche Bank Postponed Graduate/Fulltime Program

Did anyone receive the message regarding postponed starting date from July till October? Meanwhile, these 3 months will not be paid... To be honest, informing the employees just one month before and what we need to think about right now is how to cover the expenses during these 3 months and what to do during this extra free time!

Yes. I wonder how DB plans on compensating us? I know like 6 other previous SAs who moved to NYC the day the message went out. We're are all paying $1600-$2000 for rent without an income. That honestly sucks if DB doesn't compensate us.

Update: reading the message again, it looks like we can be reimbursed for our expenses. Do we talk to HR about this?

I’m not sure. I would email HR. DB should just give us our signing bonuses. I know two previous SA who are international and they can’t afford to not pay rent or they’ll be homeless.

That’s much more progress than US HR. We talked about my needs (rent, groceries, etc). She was sympathetic, but she said she can only forward them to the VP, HR. Haven’t heard anything since then! I’ll send another email in a week.

I haven’t received a new contract from HR.

hi guys,

current DB analyst. wanted to try to help as much as I can by providing some feedback/comment. since starting, I’ve found that most if not all of my work expenses have been reimbursed. Whenever DB HR or someone gave the wrong info (once I had $200 taxi expense), they will usually compensate it (especially if your manager pushes).

if DB is saying they may reimburse, I would push to try to get a concrete answer. get an understanding of what will or will not get reimbursed so you don’t get on the hook for something.

They're not even answering our emails. If I don't hear from them by the end of next week, I'll start recruiting again. There's no way I would work for a bank that is fine with leaving its most junior talent with no resources.

It’s less than 2 weeks until start date. How’s the onboarding process for everyone?

When did they begin onboarding? (i9, background check, education check, fingerprint, etc...)
