Hello everyone,
While I understand enterprise value from the perspective that it is the value of the firm attributable to all investors, the other definition (market value of net operating assets) confuses me because of the debt component. In other words, if enterprise value is the MV of operating assets - MV of operating liabilities, why do we add debt if debt isn't an operating liability?
