Enterprise value after all cash acquisition question
Hey guys,
I have a question regarding enterprise value of a firm after it has made an all-cash acquisition.
As enterprise value = equity value - cash + debt, say company A acquires 100% of company B's equity for x in cash.
Because there is a decrease in cash of x, and an increase in equity of x, would new enterprise value now be old enterprise value + 2x?
