FAANG Recruiting - Summer 2020

Hi everyone - wondering when top companies such as FAANG start recruiting and how they recruit for 2020 Summer finance internships. I'm wanting to go into IB for junior summer, but think that one of these in corporate finance could be a good stepping stone for tech IB. Thanks in advance.

Microsoft did their in April through a leadership program and Google does is in Oct. Not sure about other ones but most likely somewhere in Fall. They all recruit from all schools but have lowkey targets like Microsoft (UWash,) Google(Stan,MIT,) Amazon(Mich,) Apple(Duke.) Not sure about the rest of them.

They don't have a strict requirement but they are competitive as it's more merit based than IB- not saying IB is not but IB is more prestige(target)/networking based. The application pool is a lot bigger for very few spots so they tend to pick kids with high GPAs. Networking and referrals can also help you get interviews as well sometimes but won't be as effective as IB.
