Fed up with Scotiabank

Actively looking to leave, trying to keep anon but I have a VP on my team who is a total dick and a bunch of useless associates that leave at 6PM. All of them are degenerates and use drugs in the office and I can't relate. Want to stay anon but is anyone in as toxic of a group as this?

Is it one of the 3 groups they posted roles for recently? Have an interview coming up. 💀

What team did you have the interview for?

Worst chats I had when recruiting were by far at Scotia. Analysts were open to chatting me but once we got on the phone they would ask me to hold for them for 10 minute periods at a time to work and answer my questions in sub one sentence

Had a bad experience networking with them too, and my calls were just very odd although diff reasons from you.

One was with an analyst who seemed very gung-ho about Scotia, and she kept referring to it as a bulge bracket that does "very important deals." I asked her a relatively innocent question on why this bank over others, and she sounded offended. She scoffed saying that's a stupid question and how they're extremely relevant in the world of finance. I just agreed for the sake of it and ended it in like less than 10 minutes lmao.

Another was with an associate since I thought the first call was just a one-off of a weird person. This guy ends up just stroking his ego during the entire call about how banking requires intelligent critical-thinkers and such, also noting why it's better than every other career (mind you this is all unprovoked aside from me asking why banking). It felt so disingenuous, and everything came across as insecure.

Figured I didn't wanna be around people like that, so I didn't bother to apply lmfao.
