Freshman making a resume with no experience
I'm a freshman at a top 50 business school who made a connection at a BB bank in NYC and called and asked for an internship. This banker knows a lot of other BB bankers and said that he didn't know what was out there internship wise but he'd love to help and send my resume around. The issue though is that as a freshman I have absolutely no banking experience. What should I put on this resume since I know that usually anything not banking related isn't usually included. I did work for Google which sets me apart but that's still not pertaining to anything "banking" related besides the fact that I'm extremely skilled with computers.
Basically, should I just make a usual resume including all past employers and everything I've done not banking related? Thanks in advance and any advice is appreciated.
By working for Google, do you mean you have a YouTube channel pulling in ad revenue?
If not, then you are way too modest and need to put that on your resume.
Also, you need to use this template.
I was contracted by a company under Google and worked as an Search Engine Evaluator. But what template do you mean? Is there an attachment that I'm not seeing?
I also appreciate the response, thank you!
Greatly appreciated. As for the cover letter should I go ahead and say that I have no experience and am willing to do any type of work etc.?
You could try to get a PWM internship during the school semester, or this summer if you're unable to find banking work as a freshman, which is understandable. It would put you ahead of a lot of people and set you up for something to talk about in sophomore/junior SA interviews.
