From investment banking to non-finance industry
Hi all,
I was wondering how many of you made the move from investment banking to non-finance sector. Why did you make such moves and do you enjoy the work you are doing now?
What I am talking about could be both direct moves or career transition after getting a master or mba after banking. I am interested in policy-related work, so I am thinking about joining policy consulting firms, NGOs, think tanks, or international organizations such as the IMF and World Bank. I understand it may be hard to make this transition if you only have an undergrad degree. So I am considering getting an MBA or MPP/MPA after staying 2 yrs in banking.
