GS LGBTQ+ Possibilities Summit

I just received an email asking me to RSVP to the GS LGBTQ+ Possibilities Summit which I forgot I applied to. There was no selection process like a HireVue so I was wondering if the Summit is just some more regular recruiting PR or if there's a benefit like a guaranteed first round or anything like that.

I got accepted to it to so I have the same question. I assume there's no benefit to it since there was like no selection process haha but it said the acceptance rate was 16% so I think it was purely based on resumes. 16% is really high for true diversity programs though so I assume there won't be benefits like an interview.

See, I'm a bit confused because like someone else mentioned below, I thought I saw something that said that certain people from the summit will be able to get an early interview but I'm not sure about that. Given the schedule, I think it might just be a month long networking session haha

Yea I'm not sure. They have their intro session next Monday so I'll go to that and see what they say.

I honestly don't see how liking sucking dick makes someone a diverse candidate. Liking penis in your butt adds no value in a board room.

What I will say is that LGBTQ community has been marginalized for hundreds of years. So, from that standpoint I see why helping a marginalized community could be helpful.

The system is broken and what's most unfortunate is LGBTQ is probably the most falsely ticked box out of the entire diversity pool. I feel bad for actual LGBTQ people since most of these slots are being filled by individuals pretending to be bi so that they can improve their odds of a superday..

tbh it being gay doesn't help me but its good PR for a company to be labeled progressive. and it doesn't hurt if we're decent at our jobs too

I got one and bombed 2 out of the 7 questions as I hadn't been asked those before even with weeks of preparation. I'll reply back if I get into the divisions I was selected for.

For me, I was doing S&T (they didn't specify location) but they basically only asked me behaviorals. The weirdest question was about having two offers or something like that. Did you have weird technicals or something?

anyone who got hirevues, if you get selected for the track is it the superday next or another first round?

Also did anyone hear back from them about whether they got selected for the early track?

hey, i know some people heard back today. I did not and felt pretty confident about the Hirevue and I got to target. Maybe they send out more info in waves?
