lol. You take overachieving to another lvl
first start by asking yourself why pe. then get as many ibd or buyside internships and learn how to model expertly. at the early stage you are there for no other reason but to serve a support function. best slave money can buy.
PE is tough. Do you have the prereqs? How good were you at dodgeball during recess? Watch out for Mr. Johnson, he makes you run laps if you don't take showers after class.

i feel sorry for kids in high school these days. oops i meant to say adults in high school these days...you have one time in your life to be a kid. dont pass it up....
learn to model like a pro. know the technicals and accounting in your sleep. keep up to date with markets. get good deal experience (boutique/MM IBD freshman and soph years, maybe BB or PE junior). network like a boss. more OCR will be for sell-side. as soon as you get to school, start using the alumni network for the big PE shops.
I don't think Harvard, Wharton, and Princeton are targets for teaching pe. Try a state school, more prestigious.
The best thing you can do as a high school sophomore is to pick out that one avg/slightly goofy looking chick who has potential to be an 8 or 9 once she grows out of it. If you can do that, the buyside might be your calling.
I literally cannot believe this actually exists. You haven't even started applying to college yet. Don't know if it's the same as PE, but I was told by multiple people in banking atleast that they don't necessarily want kids who have decided since the womb that they want to do PE/Banking. When it comes down to it, it's as much about being a well-rounded individual who can communicate well and potentially be in front of clients. It's as much about being the kid who would be good to go out for drinks with as it is being the one who can do the model.
Thumbs up for your goals and experience at a HF in high school, but don't let yourself become a one-dimensional human spreadsheet.
sophomore summer - hf junior summer - do whatever the fuck you want senior summer - ibd/pe
college at hypws
freshman year - 4.0, join investing club+network with alums at banks that have a freshman year program (i know jpm does) if freshman BB program doesn't work out, intern in ibd/pe again
sophomore year - maintain 4.0, sophomore BB program
junior year - maintain 4.0, junior SA at BB/elite boutique/megafund pe
senior year - FT offer at megafund pe
