You're not screwed, many kids get into IBD that aren't athletes at Midd. Midd is a mid-ter NESCAC as a whole, but for finance recruiting it's the clear 3rd and clearly above the rest of the NESCAC.
what about bowdoin
What about Colgate and the others? People love to tout Colgate's "D1 SPORTS! D1 SPORTS!"
Colgate is very different tier than a school like Middlebury or Bowdoin on your list in terms of placement(it's worse by a decent amount). Colgate is D1, so athletics matters more, the NESCAC's are D3 and honestly people care way less about athletics.
What about Tufts?
This might be controversial, but being fat may somewhat dampen your chances. Anecdotally, the people I see in superdays and getting offers are disproportionately attractive and in good shape. I’m sure some of this is self-selective (people who are driven enough to go after IB are also driven enough to get in the gym), but still, something to be aware of.
