I made a risky joke and now i’m being fired

I don't know what to do

i basically made a joke in front of my boss amongst other colleagues and i said that i'm feeling a little racist today i'm going to go home and watch django

they all stood they awkwardly staring at me which made me super self conscious

i’ve been called into HR and now they're looking to terminate my employment

UPDATE:

I’ve been asked to resign, didn’t get fired technically.

i’m gonna hand in my resignation and look elsewhere for jobs.

my boss said he found it a little funny but he has to show the other boys around that there’s a no tolerance policy for racist jokes

I started to respond to say if the joke were funny it would have helped and realized has to be a troll bc everyone would know who you are. The joke isnt funny and this post is also not funny.

Bye bye, that ends your stint in finance. It's a corporate career, not a frat house - time more of you learned!

I don't even know what this means. Do you work in Little Rock or Chattanooga? Lmao
