I submitted claims late as an analyst, will I get in trouble?
Hi everyone, I'm a third year analyst and I was fortunate enough for my MD to take me on client meetings overseas but I've been procrastinating on submitting my claims as I have so many receipts to submit and honnestly I hate this part of the job. Has anyone had any experience with submitting late claims? Is this is a big issue? The amount itself is not that much. And nothing controversial, just air fares, hotels, meals, and cab rides. Thanks for any and all info!
They're not going to sit you down and yell at you, but this is honestly one of those things that takes 20 minutes and looks really poorly on you to be late...
Your manager may get an email which looks poorly on you, especially after your MD did something unusual by taking you overseas. And you will have to cover any late fees if paid for on a company card.
Just get it done tbh this is not something even worth typing out
I know i messed up, in this case should I just absorb the whole cost?
How late and how much? Also search your company's intranet for late receipt policy, you may not be able to get it reimbursed after a certain point
