IB SUMMER INTERNSHIP ADVICE....

Hi Everyone,

I am really starting to stress about not having anything for this summer and am new to the whole banking recruiting process so please excuse me for not knowing a lot. I am a current sophomore studying finance and economics with a 3.7 GPA at a strong non-target in NJ. I have applied to many internships and have had no luck. I am now strongly considering doing an unpaid summer internship in banking. I began applying to places in December after getting my new GPA since I transferred to my new school from community college this past fall.

Do you guys suggest I make a list and cold email boutiques in the NY/NJ area and ask if I could do an unpaid summer internship for the summer?

The only experience I have on my CV is doing an investment management fellowship and working as a prime now associate at Amazon. I also have my CFA investment foundations and Bloomberg Market Concepts certifications.

Any advice is deeply appreciated, thank you!
