This sounds fine to me, I've seen multiple students make the jump from S&T in their sophomore summer to investment banking in their junior summer.
I made the jump the other way just fine. IB internships sophomore and junior summers to FT trading

Unpaid internship at a local search fund & served tables for cash to pay rent. The founder was very involved with the interns, helping us with interview prep and giving us a lot of responsibility that we could discuss in interviews.
