Is this serious or satire?
Serious. Just get good grades, join any banking related club, and do any experience. Apply to as many early insights diversity programs as possible. Honestly networking may even be optional for you cause those programs will give you an early superday. You prob won't be asked serious technicals either, so just 400q's enough. Your schools is not great, but good enough that you'd get looked at and be selected. You legit have to do the bare minimum.
Know a person who went to washu and ended up at an EB and now is going MF PE.
Perhaps one of the worst analysts and dumbest analysts I know. I bet you can guess their background...
Yeah, you're in good shape. Don't worry.
WashU can place you anywhere you want. Have multiple kids go MF PE analyst positions all the way to the best BBs (GS, JP, BOFA, etc.) and the best EBs (Evercore, Moelis, PWP, Centerview, etc.) There’s not many school that place better on a percentage basis than WashU due to how few students there are in each class.
Evercore hard as they are a 20 person office w one NU intern and one UChicago intern
ngl I see multiple Iowa and Uiuc kids.
Paper & packaging too only
I went there for a year before transferring out, and the banking scene there is smaller that its peers but seemed to have really strong resources to help people place. For the number of people who are actively trying to get into IB from there, the outcomes are great for both Chicago and NYC.
No if you don't go to Northwestern or UChicago you have absolutely ZERO shot at Chicago IB. Don't even bother applying because you won't get an interview anyways. It's not like there are Michigan, ND, WashU, and Indiana students at every Chicago bank but only Northwestern and UChicago have a shot.
Why do people keep posting stupid questions?
