Jpm 2025 sa hirevue

My friend goes to an Ivy target with a 3.8, US citizen. He has submitted his application on 1/7 but has not received a hirevue for about 3 days. Anyone know what’s happening. I thought eveyone gets hirevue as long as they check the gpa and work authorization. Was he cut??

Ah, the classic waiting game for the Hirevue invite! Based on the most helpful WSO content, it's not uncommon for there to be a bit of a delay between submitting an application and receiving a Hirevue invitation. Here are a few points to consider:

  • Application Volume: JPM, like other big banks, receives a high volume of applications, especially for their SA positions. This can sometimes lead to delays in processing.

  • Automatic Invites: While it's often said that Hirevue invites are somewhat automatic, particularly if the candidate meets the GPA and work authorization criteria, this isn't always instantaneous. The system may take time to sort through the applications.

  • No Immediate Red Flags: If your friend has a strong GPA from an Ivy League school and has work authorization, it's unlikely he's been cut early on based on these factors alone.

  • Patience is Key: It's only been 3 days since the application was submitted. In the world of investment banking recruitment, a few days' wait is pretty standard.

  • Check In: If the wait becomes prolonged, your friend can always reach out to the HR department or the campus recruiter for an update, but it's best to wait at least a week before doing so.

Tell your friend to hang tight! It's still early in the process, and there's a good chance that Hirevue invite is on its way.
