JPM SA 2022
Looks like JPM SA 2022 is open, I thought I would start a new thread for Summer 2022. How’s everyone’s application coming along?

Just got emailed the link to pymetrics — was this sent out to everyone who applied?
Got a Pymetrics as well. (Non-target / semi-target) I would assume that the vast majority of people who applied got a Pymetrics but that's just my guess.
Got Hirevue. Anyone know what the timeline is after submission? Also what did you guys get for your top 3 on pymetrics? I got risk tolerance, focus, and attention. My bottom one was learning, so I hope that's not a ding
Effort, Decision Making, and Focus. Don’t think it matters much, especially if you got a HireVue
How soon after your application did you get a hirevue?
I got pymetrics a few days after submitting then Hirevue almost immediately after finishing pymetrics
How long do we have to complete the hirevue after getting the email for it?
I heard back after 2/3 weeks for superdays after I submitted my hireviews and pymetrics
Having gone through the JPM SA process a previous year, thought it might be helpful to explain a few things I wish I knew during the process:
1. Everyone gets a pymetrics and a hirevue (usually the hirevue comes once the pymetrics is completed)
2. Networking (with the exception of MDs +) is not helpful in terms of pushing your resume, although it can be helpful when you get the interview and they ask you "why JPM?"
3. JPM has repeatedly said they do not want to accelerate their recruiting process earlier, meaning although the apps are opened, they prob won't start doing interviews until end of summer / early fall (like last year)
4. I didn't go through the superday process, but a few friends of mine did it via the diversity programs and they said they went straight to superdays. I have heard some people have 1-2 phone calls prior though
You got this guys, I know the process is so stressful but hang in there :)
blessed thank you!!
Great stuff, if you don't mind can I PM you to know more about the diversity process of your friends?
Sure thing!
I spoke with AWM hr and they said specifically they won't be looking at apps until late summer
Does this mean we don't have to apply ASAP (ie it's not rolling)?
I'd recommend applying ASAP. Do you expect any material changes to your resume that might help you? If NO, apply now, if YES, then get those changes on paper ASAP so that you can apply...
Kind remarks 👍🏻🥳
Has anyone given the hirevue? If yes, what were the questions?
Why JPM
Whats one transaction you’ve been following
Why are you qualified for the job
one more I’m forgetting
Was the last one like a market outlook ?
I didn't get asked any of these, I got:
Discuss a world event that has had am impact on financial markets
Discuss a time you made a mistake on a school/work project
Discuss a time where you had a number of choices, how you arrived at your choice/what was the outcome
What do they mean by following a transaction? Could anyone give me any example transactions to follow and how to find these?
What division did you apply to? There are different questions for each
Do you know how much time you got per question?
JPM is really weird because AI reviews your hirevue. No way of knowing what is right or wrong lol rip
Not true. Analysts and Associates review them.
Can also confirm that analysts and associates watch every Hirevue.
Just got an invite to Early Insights Program for IB
Did you apply via a special program or was this just form the general application?
99% sure you'd have to apply specifically to the early insights program. Those programs are exclusive so it'd be pretty weird for an SA app to be deferred into an insight program (they are also all based on diversity).
When do you generally hear back after Hirevue for JPM? I heard that they don’t update until end of summer
Did the internship this past summer. They don't start reviewing non-diversity till later on. I applied and did my Hirevue in July and had a super day in October
following
How much time do we get to answer?
2-3 mins
Does JPM sponsor Visas for foreign students in their US IB offices?
Thinking the same thing. Because I’m interning there for my sophomore year, but thinking of asking for a transfer to NY for third year. Not sure if they’d sponsor though. I’m in their Canadian office btw
Interesting. Does JPM take SAs in their Toronto offices usually?

If you do the winning women program do you get a superday??
Bump
No it’s not guaranteed but it DEFINITELY helps given that it’s an early insights program and you will get priority. Normally these programs pipeline into summer analyst positions then from there a possible offer to work full time.
Have winning women apps opened yet?
following
These were my questions for hirevue for anyone it helps.
Discuss a major world event and how it could affect financial markets?
Provide an example of a project where you sought out relevant information and used it to develop a plan of action. Describe the situation, actions you took and the outcome?
Describe a situation in which you learned something significant from a mistake you made at work or in a school project?
Seems like they have different questions for different people got completely different from these
.
What questions do you have for HireVue?
What division did you apply to?
IBD

Does completing the JPM Forage Virtual Experience help your application any?
.
Not everyone gets superdays. I was just in that program and I believe they narrow down to pick certain candidates of that specific pool (latinx diversity program) rather than all applications submitted.
Not everyone gets a superday after the diversity program, but the chances are pretty high. I think like 50% of the diversity program people will get superdays, though last year it was 100% got superdays (but that made the superdays much more difficult).

applied yesterday but still didn’t get a hirevue anyone else have this problem?
it took me about 2 days to get it. they are sent out in waves.
Anyone do the IB HireVue yet and can share the questions?
I have shared the questions above. However, keep in mind that many of us are getting different questions
following
following
If I applied to multiple programs within asset/wealth management, would I have to do a seperate Hirevue interview for each?
yes!
Did anyone get an email about super day prep
Are only the diversity students getting the superday prep email or everyone who gives the hirevue ?
.
do uk how long we have to submit the hirevue?
.
I did on April 10th but didn’t receive anything yet
are you diversity/did you go to the prep event?
Did anyone get an email about super day prep interview
.
I can’t click on the link either
How many days after hirevue did you get the superday prep ?
.
Was this for the interview prep webinar? Do you know if we were in invited to this well get a super day?
I dont know. havent heard of anyone who didnt get it that submitted hirevue before the 25th. kinda mean of them if it means we dont get the superday.
When do superdays happen for non-diversity?
September/October
That seems extremely late, even for JPM... What is your source for this?
Can confirm, received an offer for 2021 IB SA diversity, applied in June, didn’t hear back until September for a super day.
What do you need to do to get a superday from JPM? Seems like they don't really value networking. Are GPA, experiences, and the HireVue all they looking for? Or, networking can still help you get an actual interview? I would really appreciate an answer. Thank you
same idt it helps but in the end it doesn't hurt to have the connections
I didn't network, did Hirevue and Pymetrics and got superday for 2021. HR really values those now, so you must perfect them.
big body
Has anyone got background checks from JPM , but didnt receive an offer?
I thought they don't do background checks until u get an offer
Do ppl get any feedbacks after submitting hirevue if you are non diversity??
I did mine a couple weeks back, and haven't heard anything since
Did anyone else get an email about continuing your IB application? I submitted it weeks ago and already did the hirevue and polymeric....
No I also submitted app, hirevue, and pymetrics. Haven't received anything since completing the hirevue. non-diversity target, but not for JPM
Is there a deadline to apply and submit Hirevue?
there is not.
No, but do it ASAP
The superday prep emails some are receiving, are those are diversity only or for non-diversity too?
Does it matter when we do the HireVue if they aren't interviewing until the end of the summer anyway? I'm hoping to do a little more prep first and I'm a bit busy rn, so I was hoping to do it later this week
yea im in the same predicament
I'm thinking a few days now probably don't matter, if they aren't sending out first rounds for months anyway
just received a application denial for Ib anyone else getting application updates? But I also got the prep super day invite and was diversity early insight participant. Any idea if my other applications still got a chance since they didn't get rejected?
Are you international?
Really. That is strange. Do you attend and target or non target?
I asked HR what’s the dealio:
“This is a general session for all applicants to go over interview advice and best practices. It does not mean that you have yet been selected for an interview.
Our team is continuing to review applications on a rolling basis. If you are selected to attend an interview with us, we will notify you in the next two weeks. Our interviews will likely take place before May 31st.”
If you are diversity and applied by April 25. So idk I think it’s bad they have this program if you don’t have an interview.
The email I received today states We have enjoyed learning more about you. Many factors need to be considered in the hiring process and no decision is made lightly. At this time, we have decided to move forward with other candidates.
I did apply before 25th and no I’m a not target school
Yea, that is a super misleading email. I don't agree with it.
My buddy got a superday scheduled to take place in June. Non-core, non-diversity.
Full cap, diversity super days aren't even scheduled yet
Superdays are scheduled for June 25th according to the email sent from campus recruiting.
No cap. Just cuz diversity supers haven't been scheduled doesn't mean regular supers can't be. What you're thinking of is when they actually take place. In that regard, diversity supers will take place before regular supers.
NYC?
Does this mean if we didn't receive the email today, we're probably rejected? Non-core, non-diversity.
I don't think so. For SA 2020, superday invites were sent out in waves.
Is there any point to applying now if interviews don't come out until later in the summer?
Just got the Boston offer, along with another kid at my target. we filled up the remainder of non-diversity recruiting for the office
hhhherrrm i dont think they had super days yet so how is this possible
Meant to post under Lazard, sorry
First superday is June 25th
Is this for diversity? I’m assuming you received one? I though someone posted it would be before may 31st.
Buddy is non-core non-diversity and has a super on June 25th as well. I think diversity supers will happen sooner, I also have some buddies going through JPM's diversity programs and they should have supers in the next couple of weeks likely.
Did they already select everyone for this, or is that just the date set? I just submitted my Hirevue and such yesterday, so I'm wondering if my app is still in consideration for that date. Thanks!
No I haven't gotten one yet cuz I haven't even done my HV. One of my friends got an automated e-mail that said the first superday would be on the 25th and to remain patient as they review apps.
HR told me that Diversity Superdays would happen in mid-late May not June 25th.
Have any diversity candidates received superday invites?
For Houston yeah
did you get one?
Do you have to submit a cover letter in the application portal?
Nah, it's optional.
