Leaving my Super Sweaty EB
Hi all,
Currently an A1 at a super sweaty EB (few months on the desk). Working all weekend, super toxic team, and demeaning work is kinda getting to me. I love to be challenged and don’t mind working long hours but this is honestly over the top.
I still want the banking experience, is it worth trying to lateral somewhere more chill? Or should I wait 1 year, grind it out, and go to a corporate strategy role? Any advice would be appreciated.
Honestly man, it's probably worth thugging it out for at least a year, that way you'll have a bunch of exits available. You could try to lateral, but people will definitely ask why you want to leave and if you don't have a solid answer, then it won't be a good look.
What did you expect at Evercore
Sounds more like Moelis tho. EVR was super sweaty but not toxic.
Could be a few groups at PWP too
Definitely RBC for the unmatched exits
Somewhere more chill?
