Are you a senior accountant in M&A/Transaction Services at a Big 4 firm? Looking for your next step in a global investment bank? Read on...

The Business Development Team ('BDT') in the Treasury and Commodities Group ('TCG') is looking for experienced staff to join its team in New York.

BDT sits in TCG Central and has a mandate to assist the Group, Regional and business Division heads in TCG with their new initiatives including;

* new business acquisitions
* business builds
* joint ventures
* new products
* strategy
* significant trading and asset transactions.

With the rapid growth of TCG off-shore, particularly in the US, BDT is looking to further developing its team off-shore to better service those growing businesses.

BDT is looking for an experienced Manager/Director level accountant to join our team. Coming from the M&A or Transaction Services business of a global accounting firm, you should have experience in principal transactions management (preferably due diligence through to implementation) and possess strong analytical and business/transaction structuring skills. An understanding of trading markets and businesses will be highly regarded.

Your role will see you manage major projects autonomously, including working with the project sponsor whilst managing the interface with the various support areas in the Macquarie Group . You will work closely with TCG Regional and Division Heads, so a strong eye for detail,superior organisational skills, and a well developed communication style will be an asset in this role.

The existing BDT team has members that are experienced business managers, management consultants, credit analysts, risk advisers, accountants and lawyers.

As a member of the team you will experience a great variety of project work and get exposure to all the businesses across TCG. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic, commercially minded person who wants to be involved in the growth and development of TCG's US businesses.

You would be working in an investment bank, but you would not be doing investment banking. Also, it looks like they are looking for someone at a higher level (Manager/Director) than senior associate, which you say you are. It can't hurt to try though.
