Mid-Tier BB vs. GS/MS/JPM

I recently accepted a position at a mid-tier BB for summer 2021. I decided to go ahead and accept the offer and finish recruiting early. Still too early to decide, but I've been thinking about if I should shoot for a Top 3 BB for full-time.

If I can get my top choice for group placement and if I like working with the people there, I'm thinking I should just strive to get a FT offer there and not shop around. However, I want to hear everyone's thoughts, so that if needed, I can start building my network at other firms this school year.

I'm just wondering what the difference really is between a mid-tier BB and a top-tier BB, assuming that I land a very strong group. Does anyone have any pros/cons? Want to do PE after analyst stint, but also somewhat interested in climbing the corporate ladder in the long term.
