Music Major from HYP?

Hey all,

Don't mean to beat a dead horse here, but wanted to see what kind of responses I'd get. I'm a junior at HYP (just transferred in from non-target) recruiting for 2019 summer. Spent the past summer interning with a team of advisors at a large/well-known wealth manager, but looking into IB positions going forward.

At my previous school, I studied music and math (no business/finance major, though I took econ). Transferring has left me with a tricky situation as far as credits go and to graduate on time I may need to drop the math major and focus only on music (FYI I won't have a GPA yet at my new school, though GPA at my old school was 3.7). I have previous math/finance leadership positions and, like I mentioned, a semi-relevant finance internship under my belt. How detrimental will it be to my chances if major in only music? Is there any reasonable way to explain that? I haven't gotten a straight answer from career office so figured I'd ask here, esp. since music isn't common even among non-business/finance/econ majors.

Thanks!
