Name or Work?

What would be a better freshman summer experience for someone interested in pursuing IB at an EB

Option 1: Working at a well-known Canadian bank (RBC, BMO, ETC...) as a wealth management/sales dev intern.

Option 2: Working at a small boutique as an investment banking intern.

Just curious what recruiters prefer. Should I choose the IB internship and talk about my experience doing tasks such as CIM in my interview or should I take a non-ib role at a well-known bank.

Small boutique I found on handshake. 2-5k followers on linkedin and is an unknown shop. Have no information on their deal flow but an upperclassman told me to do it. He just sat on capital raising calls throughout the summer and thought it was alright. He did get HLRX afterwards but it was definitily not due to the freshman intern (he had crazy Sophmore offers due to nepotism).

It's the type of firm you see on handshake but have a hard time finding information about online...
