Next steps or possibilities for internships sophomore summer?
Hi everyone, I just finished up my freshman year at a target school and have started interning at CBRE this summer, the top commercial real estate firm. My boss told me I can come back next summer in a greater role, possibly in the debt and equity side of their business.
My goal is to go into investment banking, so any tips or suggestions as to what to do next summer? I was thinking maybe asset management or even IB if possible, assuming I transition from the real estate position. Most of the sophomore programs seem to be geared toward diversity, which I am definitely not.
Thanks in advance!
Hi WSOInvestmentBankingHopeful, whoops, looks like nobody chimed in here.... maybe one of these discussions below is relevant:
If those topics were completely useless, don't blame me, blame my programmers...

Shoot for whatever you can get. Sophomore internships do not hold as much weight as you think, but they can be beneficial in standing out from the candidate pool. Also, are you implying Notre Dame is a target?
Thanks for the comment.
And no, don't go to Notre Dame. That was my high school abbreviation lol
