OSU incoming Freshmen Wanting IB

Hey there! I am a incoming Freshmen going to be attending tOSU this upcoming fall semester. I for the past few years have been wanting to become an Investment Banker in my future. I will be majoring in Finance and will be going to OSU as a in-state student. I am wanting advice from any past alumni if possible on how exactly I could break in or network with the right people. I am wanting badly to join the Fishers Futures program and know I can, but just don’t know if that would be enough to make it after my schooling. Any advice would be appreciate, hope everyone is having a good day whenever they see this.

Wrong advice. You will be fine at tOSU and place extremely well if you take advantage of the resources available + the loyal alumni base

Just trying to get my thoughts down, didn’t directly look over it just put what was going through my head. Knew there would be one guy haha.

I go to OSU (incoming junior) but i am not involved with IB , mainly corp finance / interested in commercial banking stuff. Feel free to PM me if you wanna talk about OSU

You will be fine, Ohio State is a solid state school on the street. Get an internship freshman summer or during the school year so you have something to talk about. Otherwise, start recruiting soph year, talk to alums (wait until second half of freshman year at earliest so you don't seem like a mega hardo) and keep your grades up.
