PJT Partners SA Interview
Hi guys,
I have a first round phone interview with PJT Partners this week for a 2017 SA position. I attend a liberal arts school and haven't had much experience with the technicals of IB. Are first round interviews for PJT SA on the technical side? Or more behavioral? Thanks in advance!
I had a first round / superday with them for SA and a first round for FT recently, coming from a somewhat similar background (target, liberal arts school) but with some IB experience. They really do ask some tough questions -not just advanced technicals but also questions that test your knowledge of deals / industries you say you have interest or knowledge in.
Oh boy, even for first round SA?? My only IB experience is doing research at a small, unknown M&A advisory firm. No financial modeling experience. I don't have a good feeling about this.
Yes. I distinctly remember it because it was my first interview - early November. Very technical for me.
Their recent full-time analyst superday involved building an lbo model from scratch, which is unheard of everywhere else. You can bet the SA interview will be highly technical too.
