Buuuuuuump
Haven't heard anything about PJT or Lazard HC, but I know someone at EVR NY HC and it has fantastic culture apparently. Nice people from juniors to seniors with a zero facetime environment. Can be very grindy at times, but they're one of the top / highest fee generating groups within EVR so that's basically a given.
Interviewed with the EVR HC team in SF a couple years ago and they're an awesome group of people. Super smart but most of all chill
Think they work mostly on biopharma though I'm not sure if EVR has subsector groups within HC
Is evercore biopharma only in sf
NY has partners that cover biopharma as well. Staffing is done across the offices so you could have a Partner/MD from NY and junior team from Menlo and vice versa

Used to be, but now they are planning to convert SF into Tech+HC (tbd) as their recent MD hires prefer to be in SF than Menlo. Tech team juniors are still all in MP but hoping to have flexibility to work in both offices sooner or later.
I second this, I am not at the bank but following extensive networking I can confirm Evercore has phenomenal culture.
They are ruthlessly competitive without being cutthroat, are incredibly kind towards any and all IB-interested undergraduates (even if they see no potential), and would kill for anyone on their team.
does this apply to Menlo NYC or both
Lazard HC fucks. Great group. Works very hard though.
A friend of mine works there as a HC associate. She seem to have the chillest life, always getting off before 9pm. Glad to hear though that her group's doing well. Best kind of group.
PJT is a small group and only does pharma, mostly advising large corporates
How small? Never seen a deal
They literally just advised on Villaris/Incyte this month and ChemoCentryx/Amgen in August. Not to mention historical deals they also advised on include Abbvie/Allergan and GE BioPharma/Danaher, two mega-deals...
Lazard and Evercore both great platforms - Lazard is having a killer year.
PJT lots a ton of seniors in Healthcare over the last year...will take a while for them to recover.
There's been no attrition at the senior level in the group..not sure where you're getting your info from. Only Jami Rubin left, to run a biotech. Just advised Amgen on their $4bn purchase and GSK on Sierra
Lazard's life sciences head got poached by PJT over the summer
Does pjt even do any life Sci deal?
Funny cuz more than half of PJT SF team (which does mostly HC and HC services) moved to Moelis SF recently
