Made a throwaway acct for anonymity purposes.
I'm interning at a F500 company in Finance and just got placed on the internal audit team for the summer. Placement was random. Was hoping to leverage this during IB recruiting next spring, however I know internal audit is not related to IB at all.
Any advice as to work I should ask for over the summer/ how to leverage this experience in interviews? Thanks in advance.

I had the same situation last summer. I ended trying to be as proactive as possible and learnt lots of excel (including VBA) and powerpoint creation. I referred to these acquired skills in interviews for IBs during my final year of uni
