Got placed into public finance recently for SA at a lower BB and want to lateral ASAP as my goal is eventually MF PE. Would it be difficult land a spot at a top M&A or coverage group after one year in public finance? What should I do to improve my chances of a successful lateral to a place where I can get decent headhunter looks and MF interviews?

If you are in healtcare, P3, etc, it's easier to lateral to a similar coverage group
I'd gun hard for levfin and hope to go to PE after - but gonna be an uphill battle
what about recruiting full time at other firms with a SA at a BB for Pubfin
