Question about UBS Asset Management
Could anyone shed some insight on some of the better divisions in UBS Asset Management? Also, how is asset management different from wealth management? Is it public vs private? Thanks in advance!
Anyone? (Sorry if this question seems elementary!)
I believe that am is institutional (managing pensions, etc.) and pwm is individuals (you and me).
Asset mgt = mutual fund management and the like Wealth mgt = stock brokers
Avoid asset mgt at UBS like the plague.

Old thread but just wondering why previous commenter mentioned to "avoid UBS AM like the plague". Does anyone have any insights on that and associated lifestyle, pay, culture etc.? I know they cut a lot of people but I think this was more in IBD... mostly curious about the UK
