Questions for Managing Directors about Corporate Culture
Hi All, After reading several forums on here I figured this would be a great place to inquire for some potential questions. A little about myself and what I will be doing: I am currently a grad student doing research primarily on corporate sensitivity training back from the 1960s (lots of mad men type of stuff). After reading a few books (Liar's Poker, Confessions of a Street Addict) and talking to a close friend who is an associate at a firm, I've been growing increasingly interested on Wall Street culture. This site is great because everyone has varying levels of experience and if any of you guys can just bounce off some interesting experiences you've had it would be greatly appreciated. I'm trying to go further in depth with some topics like the hierarchical nature of workers, productivity of analyst and work hours, the excitement of a live deal, the stress that goes into the job, the "rush?" that goes into the job, different culture within firms (M&A, TMT, Sales and Trading) what type of clients you interact with and their demands, etc... P.S this is in no way a pro- occupy wall street greedy banker type thing, I am just interested in what goes on inside. Any insights apprecitated, thanks!
