How is an intern a mentor? Someone come get this man
Need to change my title - I’m not an intern lol.
Commenting from a M&A perspective:
1. HL
2. William Blair
3. Baird
4. Solomon
5. Stifel
6. Key
7. BlackArch
8. BMO
9. BGL
10. Stout
Where would Cowen / Jefferies / Gugg rank in this list
What happened to BMO?
Jefferies around HL level. Cowen around Stifel / Key level. Don't know any juniors from Gugg, but know some MDs that came from there that are solid at sourcing. I don't know enough to rank but would say solid shop.
Nothing really happened to BMO just my opinion on a rank - more broadly speaking would throw them in the Stifel / Key bucket. For sell-side PE pitches, I see BlackArch much more than BMO.
For sure, thanks for the insight man.
1- Houlihan Lokey
2- Solomon
3- William Blair
4- Baird
5- Stifel
- All the rest
Solomon is definitely below HL and Blair.

Blackarch
Key / Stifel (very group dependent)
Stout

BGL
Never seen anything from Stout before. Agreed on everything up to that. Why place them before BMO and BGL
Differences between them are negligible, but Stout is trending up a bit with some new hires, better quality deals.
BMO is a clusterfuck and very disorganized. BGL sucks and does a ton of hairy LMM deals. Never been impressed with their product. The best people always try and lateral out.
