Also my interview is with Global Markets, but I don’t remember specifically applying to s&t. Did I fuck up or do we get to choose which division of cap markets we want to interview for later? I don’t really have any interest in s&t I want to do research haha.

Technical Questions: While the first round leans heavily on behavioral questions, there might be some basic technicals. For example, if you're interviewing for Global Markets, you might get questions related to market trends or basic finance concepts. However, the focus is more on your fit and understanding of the role.
Division Selection: RBC seems to care about aligning candidates with their interests. If your interview is with Global Markets but you’re more interested in Research, it’s worth bringing this up during the interview or reaching out to HR. It’s possible that the division assignment is flexible, especially in early rounds.
