Regulations roll back

Hi all,

Almost 10 years after the financial crisis, US congress voted to roll back parts of the Dodd-Frank financial regulations implemented in 2010. I did some reading into what the regulations were but is struggling to understand the entire picture.

What are the implications of the de-regulation? To what extend did it affect traders after the regulations were implemented in 2010? How did it affect peripheral operations?

Thanks in advance!
