San Fran vs. Chicago for Banking (IBD)
not the biggest fan of new york (personal preference), so would love to know fellow monkeys' thoughts on the pro's and con's of each of these cities for banking (besides the obvious tech and healthcare for sf, industrials for chicago)
How cold do you like your winters? What is your personal threshold to the possibility of crime in the city? Joking aside, probably depends on your group interests, lifestyle, and career goals as they both offer many different things. You already stated how SF is great for healthcare and tech while Chicago has good industrial groups and FIG. It has alot of trading outposts if you are looking for a switch down the line.
Agree with go4it . . . I've spent time in both cities, and like both. It really depends upon your personal preferences and professional goals. If you have more specific questions about living/working in either city, let me know.

thanks for the thread vanburen... one question im going to throw out there-- interracial dating? (specifically asian girl, white guy)
bangkok.
Hahaha, if that's a priority, SF hands down.
is chicago really that unopen to that kind of stuff?
What? No. Not at all. I said that because if there is one place in America to go for Asian women, it's probably San Fran (due to sheer volume). This is 2011, the only places you'll have issues with interracial dating in America is in bumfuck towns in the South. Where are you from?
hahaha vanburen, im the asian woman
